BC Bootcamps
Best Colleges Bootcamps provides students with direct connections to schools and programs that suit their educational goals. Attending a bootcamp is a perfect option with less commitment than a college degree. They teach skills that prospective employers look for, and have a proven track record of success with students.
Problem
While some users might have an idea of what courses or subjects they want to study, they want to learn more about what’s offered, what schools are available and figure out what commitments to make before finalizing a decision. Schools that offer bootcamps want to recruit as many students as possible and want to make the most of letting prospective students get comfortable and familiar with that they can offer, and potentially accept students into their programs.
Objective
Build an experience that would help users find the right bootcamps for thems. The business goal is to get users to submit a lead to the schools so that the users can get connected with the school for more information, registration, etc prior to attending.
Solution
Designed an interactive flow where users answer questions, make selections to get matched with the best programs that align with their selected preferences.











Challenges
One of the biggest challenges faced was the amount of users who left the site before submitting a lead. Parts tested include having the PII/contact info be reordered to the beginning of the flow, and at the end of the flow before showing the results page. Other challenges were to ensure that only one lead is submitted per school.
Testing & Optimization
The team also performed some fake door tests by providing multiple CTAs to see which one users would click on more often and see if tooltips or additional information was necessary to provide users. Furthermore, the team used FullStory to track and view users’ navigation and experiences and analyze heatmaps.
Rebrand
Recently, Best Colleges went under a rebrand. The same formatting and structure of the flow was then incorporated into the new style guide (fonts, colors, design patterns, etc).
